The 2018 edition of the world’s largest sporting occasion begins this weekend with Chris Froome from Team Sky vying for his 5th consecutive win.
This year the “Grand Depart” takes place in the Vendee region of France with the first stage commencing on the island of Noirmutier.
Prior to the race commencement the riders are presented to the public at a ceremony that this year took place in the Vendee town of La Roche-sur-Yon.
The presentation ceremony is a great opportunity to see and photograph the riders and to see some of the behind the scenes infrastructure that keeps the riders in the saddle.
In the first in a series of posts I will start with some of the iconic graphics that mark this years tour and general scenes from the presentation, further posts will follow based on each of the teams taking part.
