Challenging Tewkesbury

Sometimes things just don’t work out as planned. Tewkesbury was a bit like that, on paper it looks like there should be good photo pickings – the confluence of the rivers Avon and Severn, a long maritime history and a striking Abbey.

The problem is that it’s all a bit, well, frankly rather tatty and a bit down on its heals (not helped by a leaden grey sky). Perhaps due to the problems of flooding the town rather turns it’s back on the two rivers and what should be assets instead have all the feeling of a problem and one that appears to be stifling new investment into the town. The Abbey is rather fine but that’s about it – sorry Tewkesbury !

As always when the big picture disappoints it’s the smaller details that have to come to the rescue, so these are the best I could manage.
