Dubai – and a Very Big Building

En route to Sri Lanka with Emirates we had the opportunity to have a few days in Dubai, as a part of the world we had not been to before we were keen to have a look and particularly interested to see the Burj Khalifa the worlds tallest (by some way) building.

There are some very tall buildings in Dubai, indeed the city has more tall  buildings than any other, but the Burj Khalifa is something apart – its is frankly staggering tall and in part because of this not the easiest building to photograph.

Even with a super wide angle lens (16mm FF equiv) you need to either stand along way back or tilt the lens upwards so you just have to embrace converging verticals – all this said it does make a great photographic subject day and night.
