I’ll been watching a pair of Nuthatchs all spring – they started nesting in a tit box months ago and now appear to be raising an unknown number of young ones. The Nuthatch is actually not that common a bird here in this part of West Yorkshire and not seen at all most years (at least by me).

With apologies to Gerry Marsden – Enroute home from New Brighton I decided to give my DJI Mavic Mini 2 a little exercise so I parked up near the Mersey Ferry terminal and flew across the Mersey to grab some 360 degree panoramas of the Liverpool skyline and of course I couldn’t resist a couple of shots of “MV Snowdrop” the Dazzle Ferry plying its way across the river.

New Brighton offers not only oportunities with the Lighthouse but also a number of groynes that have presumably been built to prevent the areas beaches being washed into the Mersey River.
The groynes make great abstract subjects at half tide.
