Close Gate Bridge is a 17th Century packhorse bridge over Haigh Clough just west of Marsden in the Peak District. The bridge formed part of the mai packhorse route across the Pennines from ther Colne Valley to Rochdale. The bridge is a grade 2* Scheduled Ancient Monument.Continue reading “Close Gate Bridge”
Well not quite the top, in fact to be honest no where near the top, but about 2/3rds of the way up the Burj Khalifa – that said plenty high enough.
On the east coast of Oleron the minor road that runs along the coast has been designated the “Route des Huîtres” and for good reason, all the way along the route are the colourful shacks and boats of the Oyster farming industry.
On Oleron there is really only one game in town – Huitres (Oysters).
A little mish mash today – all taken on a cycle ride along the “cote de beaute” between St-Palais-sur-Mer and Royan.

The G9 has no Panoramic mode – this of course matters not one jot since Lightroom is superb at stitching images together – as indeed are numerous other applications.
