The Marina makes a good photographic location during the day – but makes a great location at night and probably the best location in Dubai – think lights, reflections and light trails.
Sunset Fizzle
It was all looking so promising.
Good sunsets have been a rare thing of late in Fuerteventura – the photographers curse of cloud on the horizon has been an all to frequent phenomenon over recent weeks. But this evening looked promising for a decent El Cotillo show, cloud was moving down from the north giving some nice broken cloud over the island but the sky to the west over the Atlantic was clear so it looked good for the sun getting under the island cloud and thus giving that much desired fiery show.
Punta Jandia
Punta Jandia is the southern most point on the island of Fuerteventura. Reached by a 20km off-road adventure that is not for the fient hearted especially if the weather has been bad, fortunately not often.
Cofete
It is a feat of some endurance to get to Cofete – 20km of rough track including a substantial climb over the ridge that runs along the Jandia peninsular – but it is worth it as the view from Punta de Vista Sober Puerto de Montana as you cross the ridge is certainly the finest in Fuerteventura with the Playa Cofete (Barlavento) and a substantial part of the west coast of the island stretched out before you. This really is a Good Place to Stand.
Lumix G9 – Bexhill on Sea
A trip down to Bexhill on Sea today to give the G9 a run out.
The De La Warr Pavilion is an Art Deco grade 1 listed building buit in 1935 – it makes a fine photographic subject.
