Close Gate Bridge is a 17th Century packhorse bridge over Haigh Clough just west of Marsden in the Peak District. The bridge formed part of the mai packhorse route across the Pennines from ther Colne Valley to Rochdale. The bridge is a grade 2* Scheduled Ancient Monument.

Sometimes things just don’t work out as planned. Tewkesbury was a bit like that, on paper it looks like there should be good photo pickings – the confluence of the rivers Avon and Severn, a long maritime history and a striking Abbey.
Greenway overlooking the River Dart in South Devon was the summer home of mystery author Agatha Christie.
Perhaps the most picturesque tidal estuary in the whole of England the Kingsbridge Estuary is a mecca for sailors especially around the waterside town of Salcombe. Chichi Salcombe has perhaps some of the most expensive property in England outside of London.
On Oleron there is really only one game in town – Huitres (Oysters).

Saint-Savinien-sur-Charente is one of the most picturesque villages in Roman Saintonge. Â Climbing a rock buttress on the banks of the River Charante the village affords nice views and provides some good places to stand.
Saintes an historic town in southwestern France, in the Charente-Maritime department. In Roman times, Saintes was known as Mediolanum Santonum, and during much of its history, the name of the city was spelled Xaintes.
The brackish marshes north and south of the Seudre are a maze of small creeks and villages built on the local oyster farming industry. The blue skies contrast nicely with the green marsh of this Atlantic region of France with the creeks and boats old and new making good photographic subjects along with some fine villas and the colourful sheds of the oyster farmers.
